Course description
The training prepares candidates to obtain the Second Engineer Mechanical diploma. The program covers theoretical and practical aspects of management in the engine department and includes preparation for the qualification exam.

Training goal
The course aims to prepare participants for obtaining the Second Engineer Mechanical diploma and to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for management in the engine department.
- Familiarisation with legal regulations and examination requirements.
- Development of managerial competencies related to ship machinery operation.
- Preparation for both practical and theoretical qualification examinations.
Requirements
Warunki przystąpienia do kursu:
- Dla statków o mocy 750 kW‑3000 kW: dyplom oficera mechanika wachtowego (≥750 kW), 12 miesięcy praktyki na statkach handlowych lub szkolnych oraz ukończenie szkolenia MJE typu D.
- Dla statków o mocy ≥3000 kW: dyplom oficera mechanika wachtowego (≥750 kW) oraz 18 miesięcy praktyki (w tym co najmniej 6 miesięcy na jednostkach ≥3000 kW) lub dyplom drugiego oficera mechanika (750‑3000 kW) oraz 6 miesięcy praktyki na jednostkach ≥3000 kW, plus ukończenie szkolenia MJE typu D.
- Absolwenci MJE typu A lub B, którzy ukończyli szkolenie w specjalności wskazanej w certyfikacie uznania, są zwolnieni z wymogu ukończenia dodatkowego szkolenia.
- Uczestnik musi udokumentować 100 % wymaganego okresu praktyki pływania.
