The course is intended for captains and senior deck officers of ships with a gross tonnage of at least 500 GT. It refreshes and updates knowledge on disease prevention, sanitary care, first‑aid provision, use of medical radio, application of medicines, and care for the sick and medical equipment.

Requirements
Uczestnik musi posiadać ważne świadectwo przeszkolenia w zakresie sprawowania opieki medycznej nad chorym lub świadectwo, które utraciło ważność nie dłużej niż rok przed rozpoczęciem kursu. Przed przystąpieniem należy dostarczyć kserokopię poprzedniego certyfikatu Medical Care.
